About Acacia Public School
We are Acacia Public School in Lower Nathanpur, Dehradun, serving the Nehrugram area through a CBSE school education. Established in 2001, our school has grown around the belief that academic learning should be accompanied by confidence, values and opportunities to discover individual interests. Our location in the Doon Valley provides the setting for a school community in which classroom study and participation in wider activities form connected parts of education.
Science learning is supported by separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. These spaces allow theoretical ideas to be explored through observation, apparatus and practical work. Computer learning has its own facilities, giving pupils access to digital study alongside their other subjects. The combination of subject classrooms and specialist resources supports the progression from a general introduction to ideas towards more detailed and disciplined study in the senior years.
We place importance on co-curricular activity as part of children’s development. Cultural participation, creative work and opportunities to communicate help pupils develop abilities that are not measured by written examinations alone.
