Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Amritapuri Campus

We are the Amritapuri campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, located at Vallikavu in the Kollam region of Kerala. Our campus forms part of a multidisciplinary university whose educational approach connects academic study, research and values-based learning. The Amritapuri setting brings science and spirituality together within a community of students, teachers and researchers. Academic blocks, student residences and campus amenities support learning across a range of disciplines.

Our School of Computing was established in 2002. It brings together Computer Science and Engineering and Computer Science and Applications, providing undergraduate and postgraduate pathways in computing. Its programmes include B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, B.Tech. in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence, and the Master of Computer Applications.

Computing scholarship at Amritapuri includes artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity and computer vision. The school connects academic study with hands-on work, research projects, publications and patent activity. Collaborations with national and international institutions are part of this research environment. Its educational purpose includes developing technical capability alongside ethical judgement and social responsibility, rather than treating computing only as a collection of software skills.

The wider campus includes academic activity in engineering, biotechnology, business, arts, humanities and commerce, physical sciences, social and behavioural sciences, Ayurveda and sustainable futures. This breadth provides a multidisciplinary context for specialist computing work. Research centres and academic schools share the campus with spaces for student life and recreation. University-level research activity spans funded investigation, internally supported work and student projects. Amritapuri's combination of subject departments, advanced study and research centres supports learning that extends from foundational courses to specialist inquiry and technological applications.
