About us

We are Birla High School at 1, Moira Street, Kolkata, managed by the Vidya Mandir Society. Our origins lie in Hindi High School in 1940, and our Moira Street senior-school premises opened in 1956. English became the medium of instruction after that move, and we adopted CBSE affiliation in 1971. Our affiliation number is 2430001. Our school combines academic work with creative and cultural participation, including art, craft and photography activities. Interaction between parents and teachers is part of our approach to student progress.
