About Chennai Public School

We are Chennai Public School, a CBSE school community with campuses at Anna Nagar and Thirumazhisai. Our educational programme extends from the early years through senior-secondary school. We combine a national curriculum pathway with opportunities for children to develop academic understanding, physical abilities and participation in the wider life of the school.

Our Anna Nagar campus provides a coeducational day-school setting within Chennai. The Thirumazhisai institution is part of the Global Education Campus on the Chennai–Bengaluru highway. These locations serve different local communities while sharing the Chennai Public School identity and a commitment to education across successive stages of childhood and adolescence.

The CBSE programme gives structure to the progression from foundational learning towards secondary and senior-secondary study. Children develop language, number and general understanding before moving into more specialised subjects. Across this progression, the school environment provides opportunities for participation, communication and the development of habits that support sustained learning.

Physical activity and sport form part of the wider school experience. Alongside academic work, such participation gives children opportunities to practise skills, work with others and discover interests beyond the classroom. The school’s educational outlook recognises that pupils develop through a combination of study, activity and relationships within a community.

Transport provision supports the daily journey for families on the routes served. At the Global Education Campus, day scholars can also use the lunch facility through the arrangements available there. The distinction between campuses allows families to engage with the school setting appropriate to their location and needs. Through these local communities, we aim to provide continuity in learning and opportunities for children to develop confidence as they progress through school. Our CBSE identity remains central to the academic pathway, while the broader school experience supports personal growth and constructive participation. Our different Chennai locations retain their own campus arrangements while sharing the educational purpose of the wider CPS community.
