History
Darshan Academy has been providing students with holistic, all-round education since the inauguration of its first school in Meerut, in 1995. Since then, Darshan Academy has grown into a distinguished educational network with twenty-three schools across India and one in Colombia. The schools offer quality education, values and a positive school environment, emphasizing the well-being of all stakeholders. The schools, staff and students have been honoured by various organisations for outstanding achievements in various fields.
The world-renowned, distinguished scientist and spiritual Master Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj established Darshan Education Foundation.
He named the schools “Darshan Academy” after the great spiritual Master Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj (1921-1989), whose life was devoted to service, love for all, nonviolence, truthfulness, humility, compassion, peace, and human unity.
In the dedication ceremony for the opening of the Academy, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj said, “Sant Darshan Singh Ji laid great emphasis on education. He always wished that each of us become a universal human being. A homogenous individual is a well-rounded, sincere person, who also excels in all spheres of life.”Darshan Academy provides an education that embraces all aspects of the children, enabling students to meet challenges and lead lives with a knowledge supported by wisdom, ethical values, good decision-making skills, as well as equipoise and a respect for all life. Darshan Academy is committed to helping students develop their full potential – physically, intellectually, artistically, emotionally, and spiritually. In addition to being immersed in a rich academic curriculum, students meditate and follow a daily lesson from the Darshan Academy spiritual curriculum.
Students are trained for life to be high achievers and good human beings. They learn goal setting, creative thinking, communication skills, selfless service, time management, and the use of technology and inquiry. Students are encouraged to see themselves as citizens of a global community whose prosperity and well-being depend on harmony and co-operation.
