Education
DMI–St. Eugene University (DMISEU), established in 2007 in Lusaka, Zambia, is a private higher education institution founded by Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Emmanuel Arulraj under the DMI group. The university was set up with the vision of delivering employable, discipline-based education to empower Africa’s youth and contribute meaningfully to national development. Named after Saint Eugene De Mazenod, the institution carries forward a legacy of service, education, and community building.
The university operates multiple campuses, including Woodlands in Lusaka, Chibombo, and Chipata, extending access to quality education across regions. Each campus offers a range of programs designed to meet Zambia’s growing demand for skilled professionals. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs span across disciplines such as Education, Computer Science and ICT, Social Work, Health Sciences, Management and Commerce, Food and Nutrition, and Science and Humanities. The university also runs Ph.D. programs, reinforcing its role in advanced research and academic development. To address the need for flexible education, the Institute of Virtual and Distance Learning (IVDL), launched in 2014, uses live virtual teaching to reach students nationwide, making higher education accessible to working professionals and in-service teachers.
