We are Doon Public School, Bhaniyawala, in Dehradun district, Uttarakhand. Established in 1994, our school provides an English-medium CISCE education from the pre-primary years through Grade XII. Our Bhaniyawala campus brings together academic learning, co-curricular activity and guidance for pupils as they move through different stages of school. The continuity of this pathway gives children a familiar educational community while their interests and academic needs develop.
Our campus includes spacious classrooms, laboratories and areas for student activities. These spaces support both formal subject study and practical learning. Smart-classroom resources include ExtraMarks, TATA ClassEdge and TATA EarlyEdge, allowing digital material to complement classroom explanation. The early-years and later-school resources reflect the different needs of younger children and pupils developing more specialised subject knowledge. Our learning environment connects the structure of the ICSE and ISC pathway with varied methods of presenting and exploring ideas.
Physical development is supported through a programme that includes cricket, football, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. These activities give pupils opportunities to practise, cooperate and experience the responsibilities of participation in a team. Sporting experiences accompany academic work as part of the wider school day. Library, computing and internet resources provide further support for reading, research and the development of digital understanding.
Our school also gives attention to guidance about future study. As children progress towards senior classes, educational choices become increasingly important, and this guidance helps connect their current learning with later possibilities. We see academic development and character as related parts of education. A dependable school setting allows pupils to build understanding, explore interests and become more confident in their decisions. Our Bhaniyawala identity is rooted in a long-standing local institution with provision across childhood and adolescence. Through subject learning, practical resources, physical activity and guidance, we aim to provide continuity and breadth in the educational experience of the children and families who form our school community.
