We are École Globale International Girls’ School, an all-girls residential school in the Doon Valley, Uttarakhand. Our campus is at Horawalla, near Sahaspur in Dehradun. The school brings academic learning and boarding life together within a community dedicated to girls’ education, personal development and increasing independence.
Our natural setting is a distinctive part of everyday school life. Landscaped grounds, tree-lined spaces and a lake create an environment in which pupils study and live together away from the busiest parts of the city. These surroundings are complemented by technology-equipped classrooms and wireless connectivity across the campus, allowing contemporary learning resources to sit within a green residential environment.
Our approach connects academic preparation with creativity, leadership and the development of character. We encourage students to explore ideas, develop their talents and become more confident in expressing themselves. Education at École is intended to help girls make thoughtful judgments and take responsibility for the choices they make, both within school and in the wider world.
Boarding and pastoral care are central to the institution. Our houses form communities in which pupils develop relationships, share routines and learn to balance personal independence with consideration for others. The residential experience gives school life continuity beyond lessons, allowing academic work, wider activities and personal guidance to form part of the same environment.
Our students, known within the school as Ecoliers, belong to a diverse learning community. International understanding is part of our educational outlook and is reflected in the perspectives children encounter through school life. We aim to help girls develop knowledge and ambition alongside compassion and integrity. Through the combination of a residential setting, academic study, creative participation and pastoral support, our school provides an environment in which young women can develop their interests and prepare for the responsibilities of further education and adult life.
The shared experience of living and studying in the Doon Valley is an important part of the relationships formed within our school community.
