About GD Lancer’s Public School
We are G.D. Lancer’s Public School in Sainik Enclave, Mohan Garden, New Delhi. Our school was established in 2000 under Mata Gomti Devi Educational Society. We follow the CBSE curriculum and bring classroom study, practical activities, reading and sport together within our school programme. Our location in the Uttam Nagar area places us within a residential community in West Delhi, where the school provides continuity across successive stages of a child’s education.
Our library operates on an open-access basis, helping children become familiar with choosing books and using reading resources independently. Library periods give reading a regular place in the timetable. Science and computer laboratories provide settings for investigation and practical work, allowing pupils to connect explanations with observations, procedures and results. These facilities complement subject lessons and encourage children to ask questions about the ideas they encounter in class.
Sport offers another setting for learning and participation. Our activities include cricket, badminton, football, volleyball, hockey and athletics. Through games and physical education, pupils practise coordination, persistence and cooperation, while learning to participate within agreed rules. These experiences broaden school life beyond written assignments and provide opportunities for children with different interests to contribute to the community.
Student responsibility is developed through our school council, including the head boy, head girl and prefects. These roles give pupils practical experience of representing others and contributing to the orderly running of school activities. Counselling support provides a further point of guidance within the school. We recognise that academic progress, personal confidence and social development are connected parts of growing up.
Our school transport supports the daily journey for families on the routes we serve. Within the campus, our combination of laboratories, library access, sports and student leadership gives children different ways to participate.
