GITAM (Deemed to be University) - Hyderabad Campus

We are the Hyderabad campus of GITAM, located at Rudraram in Patancheru Mandal, Telangana. Our campus is part of a multidisciplinary university community that also includes academic locations in Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru. Academic learning, research and campus life are connected through schools, departments and services designed to support students at different stages of their education.

Our School of Science brings together Chemistry, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics. The school offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study. Its learning environment includes laboratories, ICT-enabled classrooms, a library and a computer centre. These facilities support both classroom study and practical investigation. Science education is complemented by opportunities for collaboration with international universities and healthcare institutions through student exchange and joint research activity.

Within the Department of Life Sciences, undergraduate pathways include Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Food Science and Technology. These subjects connect understanding of living systems with applications in health, food production, processing, safety and sustainability. The department's academic community includes researchers working on topics such as extracellular vesicles, vaccine delivery, tissue engineering and bioactive materials. This research activity demonstrates the connection between fundamental biological questions and the development of practical biomedical approaches.

Our Career Guidance Centre works with employers and supports students through career-development workshops, individual guidance and access to internship opportunities. Campus life also includes collaborative projects, events and social activities. These services complement academic programmes rather than replace disciplinary learning. GITAM's broader research environment includes funded projects and collaborations with national and international institutions.
