Overview of Heartfulness International School, Kanha

Heartfulness International School (HIS), Kanha Campus is a nurturing, play-based school situated within Kanha Shanti Vanam, the global headquarters of the Heartfulness Institute in Ranga Reddy District, Telangana—close to Hyderabad. The campus is part of a 1,700-acre ecological and wellness ecosystem, richly reforested and home to meditation, Ayurveda, yoga, and environmental research facilities. In 2019, the centre received the prestigious Indian Green Building Council Platinum award for its sustainable design.

Vision & Philosophy

HIS’s motto—“All knowledge stems from the heart”—reflects its belief that true excellence arises from an inner love for learning. The school encourages children to explore, question, and build resilience through a child-centered approach that blends modern education with ancient Indian wisdom, including daily practices like Sanskrit slokas, yoga, and quiet reflection.

Curriculum & Pedagogical Approach

1. Curriculum: HIS follows the Cambridge International Curriculum, globally recognized for its academic rigor and holistic outlook.
2. Early Years Programme: Designed around play-based learning and the Cambridge Early Years framework, focusing on key developmental areas such as literacy, creativity, and physical growth. Phonics-based literacy support begins from UKG.
3. Future Scope: The school aims to expand its offerings progressively into Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and A-Level programmes.

Campus & Facilities

The HIS campus is designed to spark curiosity in young learners. Facilities include bright classrooms, an indoor sports room, and a central courtyard equipped with play structures that promote social, motor, and cognitive development.
