About Hillwood Academy

We are Hillwood Academy, a coeducational English-medium school at Laam Grant in the Haridwar area, around four kilometres from Biharigarh. Our school serves children from Play Group through Class VIII. This gives our community a focus on the years in which children develop early language, numeracy and social confidence before moving into more specialised middle-school learning.

Our classrooms are designed to provide light, ventilation and space for pupils to work comfortably. Teaching aids and digital resources support classroom explanations, with interactive boards and audio-visual tools offering different ways to present a lesson. We combine these facilities with a setting that encourages children to learn, explore and develop their interests.

Science and computer laboratories provide opportunities for practical activity and technology-based learning. Our school also offers transport to support travel between home and campus. The combination of classroom facilities, practical learning spaces and an early-years-to-middle-school age range shapes our educational environment at Laam Grant. We aim to provide a consistent local school community in which children can build knowledge and confidence as they progress through these important stages.

Our age range gives particular importance to the transition between play-based beginnings and subject learning in Classes VI–VIII. Younger children encounter language, number and relationships through activity, while older pupils develop more detailed understanding and independence. The same Laam Grant campus supports these changes through its classrooms and practical resources, giving children a familiar school community as the nature of their learning develops over time.
