We are JBCN International School, Chembur, an international learning community in East Mumbai. Our campus serves families in Chembur and neighbouring areas including Ghatkopar, Tilak Nagar, Wadala and Sion. We bring together the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme within a pathway from early learning to senior school. Our educational identity is shaped by JBCN’s EduCreative approach.
EduCreative connects academic understanding, creative experiences and learning beyond the classroom. In the early years, children learn through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. We recognise that young learners bring curiosity and individuality to school, and that meaningful activity can help them develop confidence and independence. The primary programme extends this through inquiry, conceptual understanding and the development of the IB learner attributes.
As students progress towards secondary and senior-secondary study, the Cambridge and IB pathways provide increasing depth and challenge. Learners develop the ability to investigate, organise ideas and communicate a well-supported understanding. The wider iPROPEL programme adds experiences beyond academics, giving children opportunities to explore interests and participate in the life of the school through different forms of activity.
The campus’s primary provision covers Grades I–V, while later learning leads towards IGCSE and the IB Diploma. This progression connects early inquiry with formal subject demands, giving learners a continuing community as their academic responsibilities and independence increase.
Our campus includes specialist laboratories, learning spaces and sporting facilities. Arts and leadership opportunities complement the formal curriculum, encouraging children to express themselves and understand the responsibilities of participation. We aim to make the school an environment in which academic work, creativity, physical activity and relationships support one another. The Chembur location gives us a particular local community, while our international programmes connect learners with a wider educational outlook. We want pupils to develop the knowledge, confidence and consideration needed to engage thoughtfully with the world beyond school.
