We are J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, located in Sector 6, Faridabad, Haryana. Our origins lie in the YMCA Institute of Engineering, established in 1969 through an Indo-German initiative involving the YMCA organizations, the Government of Haryana and German development support. The institution became a state university in 2009. This history gives our engineering education a connection with technical practice as well as university-level study and research.
Mechanical Engineering is one of the academic settings in which our funded research activities take place. A current project investigates the design and development of a vertical-axis wind turbine for highway power generation. The work is supported by the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology and is led by Dr. Rajeev Kumar Saha, with Dr. Arvind Gupta as co-investigator. It brings a renewable-energy problem into an engineering design context, linking turbine development with the possibilities of generating electricity near highways.
The project-associated recruitment is open to engineering graduates and identifies ANSYS knowledge as a useful additional capability. Its appointment is temporary and linked to a defined funded activity, with the position available for up to two years under the project terms. Applicants who have not yet received their qualifying degree are not eligible for this particular engagement, and the selected researcher is expected to be able to join promptly.
Our careers page presents this project opportunity together with the qualifications, remuneration and university-supported application route. The distinction between a funded project appointment and regular university employment is part of the information candidates should consider. For an applicant interested in applied mechanical engineering, the turbine project provides a specific research setting within a science and technology university, supported by a named investigator team and a defined renewable-energy objective.
