About Kasiga School

We are Kasiga School in the Mussoorie foothills of Dehradun, a coeducational boarding school for Classes IV–XII. Our 40-acre residential campus is at Purukul Gaon, off the Dehradun-Mussoorie highway. We offer CBSE and Cambridge pathways, including IGCSE and AS/A Levels. Academic learning takes place alongside sport, music, pastoral care and the routines of a residential community. Our current appointments span sports leadership, music coordination, Mathematics, Physics, English and boarding care. The requirements reflect the responsibilities of these posts: substantial experience in sports and music leadership, postgraduate subject preparation for faculty, and practical knowledge of residential-school life for house staff. We prefer candidates with boarding-school experience and expect colleagues to contribute to pastoral care and student wellbeing. The work therefore extends beyond an individual lesson or activity into the relationships and responsibilities that sustain a boarding school.

Our current opportunities in Dehradun include Head of Sports, Music Coordinator, Maths Faculty, Physics Faculty, English Faculty, Housemaster, Houseparent.

Residential/boarding school experience is preferred. Candidates should be willing to contribute to the Pastoral Care Department and student wellbeing.

• Head of Sports: MPEd and at least ten years of experience; sports programmes, faculty, facilities, events, budgeting and procurement.
• Music Coordinator: Master’s in Music/Performing Arts and at least eight years; choir/band management, performances, Trinity assessments and cultural events.
• Maths Faculty: Postgraduate with at least five years; CBSE and Cambridge teaching.
• Physics Faculty: Postgraduate with at least five years; CBSE and Cambridge, concept-based teaching and practical work.
• English Faculty: Postgraduate with at least five years; Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level.
• Housemaster: Postgraduate with at least five years, preferably in a boarding school; pastoral care and house administration.
• Houseparent: Graduate/postgraduate with residential-school experience; supervision, routines, wellbeing and student care.

Work within our school community

For Head of Sports, our work centres on leading a coherent sports programme within school life.

• Coordinate the sports programme so that coaching, participation and events fit the wider academic and residential timetable.
• Guide coaches and physical-education colleagues in planning activities and monitoring the development of pupils across different disciplines.
• Review the use and condition of sports facilities and equipment, with particular attention to safe practice and appropriate supervision.

For Music Coordinator, our work centres on developing musical understanding, listening and performance.

• Plan music learning that brings together listening, rhythm, pitch and practical performance at the level of the learners.
• Demonstrate techniques clearly and provide structured opportunities to practise, correcting difficulties with specific and achievable feedback.
• Help individuals and groups listen to one another, maintain an agreed part and build confidence through rehearsal.
