Established in 2006, Mahadevi Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private, AICTE-approved institution located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It functions under the MKP Education Society and is affiliated with Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University as well as Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University.

The institute operates on a compact campus of about 2 acres and hosts over 30 faculty members catering to a student body of more than 300. Despite its moderate size, MIT has steadily developed its infrastructure to meet modern educational needs. Tuition fees are relatively affordable, generally between ₹20,000 and ₹60,000 per year depending on the course, with MBA and MCA at the higher end of the spectrum.

Admissions are primarily merit-based. Undergraduate courses typically require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Class XII, while postgraduate courses require 50% in graduation, with relaxations available for reserved categories. For professional programs such as MBA and MCA, performance in national or state-level entrance examinations like CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or UKSEE is also considered.

The Training and Placement Cell at MIT plays a role in preparing students for professional careers. It organizes workshops, seminars, and placement drives to help bridge the gap between academia and industry.
