Manava Bharati Society was established in 1941 by Late Dr. D.P. Pandey with the blessing of Mahatma Gandhi and the first non-European Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore along with the loving co-operation of two of our late Presidents – Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Dr. Radha Krishanan.
They not only blessed the institution but also acted as the President and vice-President of the Society, respectively.
Dr. Pandey was devoted to the creation of an institution unparalleled in its core beliefs and operation, which soon gained popularity on a national and international scale. Manava Bharati subsequently flourished and spread its over towards Mussoorie, New Delhi and Dehradun with the establishment of its new branches. The Society also runs government affiliated schools and Teachers Training Institutes at different places.
The new branch at Nehru Colony, Dehradun was set up with the vision in mind to broaden the present horizons of education and find more depth than just rote learning and spoon fed knowledge. We at Manava Bharati endeavor to the vision of its esteemed Founder alive and thriving, which is to set up educational institutions which cater to the children in accordance with the need of the competitive and changing times, while keeping in mind that every child is an individual with a varying range of capabilities and requirements.

The values of Manava Bharati resonate with the five elements or ‘Panchbhuta’, which are the building blocks of the universe. The Five Elements encompass all that is needed to survive in this Creation. Without any one of the five, the universe would cease to exist. The Five Elements are basic, but the knowledge surrounding them runs deep. When the Five Elements are in balance, we can function at our highest level as human beings.
