Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is one of the prominent technical education and research institutions in Central India. Originally established in 1960 as Maulana Azad College of Technology, the institute was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges established in the country. It was later upgraded to a National Institute of Technology and received the status of an Institution of National Importance under the NITSER Act, 2007.

At the postgraduate level, MANIT provides programmes including M.Tech., M.Plan., MBA, MCA, M.Sc., and the Master of Rural Management and Entrepreneurship.
