We are Mayoor School Siliguri, a CBSE school in North Bengal connected with the educational tradition of Mayo College, Ajmer. We belong to the Mayoor family of schools under the Mayo College General Council. Our identity brings this heritage into a contemporary school setting for children in Siliguri and the surrounding region. Academic preparation, character, creativity and community form connected parts of the education we provide.
The Mayo educational tradition dates to 1875, while our Siliguri school has its own campus and local community. We share a wider family with Mayoor schools in places including Ajmer, Noida, Jaipur and Abu Dhabi. This relationship gives our school an educational context that extends beyond one city, while our everyday work remains rooted in the children and families we serve in North Bengal.
Our programme combines the CBSE academic framework with opportunities for physical, creative and personal development. We place importance on discipline and the habits that support sustained learning, alongside curiosity and the confidence to explore. School life is intended to help children understand how to work independently and how to contribute within a group. Academic learning therefore develops in relationship with communication, responsibility and participation.
Our campus extends over approximately 29,906 square metres and includes smart, air-conditioned classrooms, laboratories, library resources and an Artist Village. These facilities give academic work, creative expression and physical participation distinct places within the daily school experience.
Boarding provision forms part of our educational environment. Residential life gives students an additional setting in which to develop routines, independence and relationships with others. Learning spaces, sporting opportunities and shared activities contribute to a varied daily experience. We aim to make the connection between formal study and wider development visible throughout school life. Our Siliguri identity combines the CBSE pathway, the Mayo College heritage and a commitment to helping children grow as capable, considerate people. We see education as preparation for future study and for thoughtful participation in the communities to which our pupils belong.
