About MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul World School

We are MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul World School at Rajbaug, Loni Kalbhor, Pune, a residential International Baccalaureate school established in 2006. Our campus lies beside the Mula-Mutha River and extends across a green setting of approximately 125 acres. We bring Indian values into conversation with international education, connecting enquiry and academic study with personal awareness, ethical responsibility and an understanding of different cultures.

Our educational model considers five connected dimensions of development. Intellectual growth involves enquiry, critical thinking and academic understanding. Emotional wellbeing includes resilience, empathy and self-awareness. Spiritual awareness brings attention to integrity, mindfulness and a sense of purpose. Physical health recognises the place of fitness, nutrition and active learning. Social responsibility connects education with service, ethical conduct and participation in a wider community. Together, these dimensions shape our understanding of a complete school experience.

As an IB World School, we provide an international framework for learning while remaining rooted in our local cultural setting. Enquiry asks pupils to investigate ideas, consider evidence and reflect on their understanding. Intercultural learning encourages them to encounter perspectives beyond their own experience. The relationship between these approaches and Indian values is central to our identity: academic development and personal responsibility are intended to support one another throughout the school years.

Our Rajbaug campus includes academic, residential, sporting and co-curricular spaces. The residential model connects learning with the routines of living alongside others, creating opportunities for independence and consideration within a shared community. The green river-side setting provides a distinct environment away from the centre of Pune, while remaining connected to the city through the Pune–Solapur highway. We see the campus as a setting for sustained intellectual and personal growth. Education here brings together classroom enquiry, physical activity, reflection and community life, with the aim of helping young people develop knowledge, compassion and the ability to act thoughtfully in an increasingly connected world.
