About Modernways Model School

We are Modernways Model School in Sector 29-C, Chandigarh, a CBSE institution established by the Modern Way Educational Society. Our school grew from the educational initiative of Jag Sachdeva and Raj Sachdeva and provides a programme extending from the pre-primary years through Class XII. Our aim is to connect academic learning with communication, cooperation and participation in a varied school life.

Our approximately two-acre campus includes classrooms, a library, science and language laboratories, smart-class resources and an art room. These spaces support different forms of learning, from reading and practical investigation to language practice and visual expression. Outdoor areas and playing fields provide room for physical activity, while the campus layout accommodates children at different stages of schooling.

We use thematic and interdisciplinary experiences to help pupils make connections between subjects and the world around them. In the younger years, activities support social understanding, adaptability and the confidence to work alongside other children. Role play, dance, music, field visits and hobby activities extend learning beyond written work. Our approach recognises that children develop at different rates and benefit from more than one way of encountering an idea.

Sports, yoga and cultural participation accompany the CBSE curriculum. We also place importance on communication and on helping children from different religious, linguistic and cultural backgrounds learn together. Staff development includes attention to curriculum planning, assessment and classroom practice, supporting continuity in the educational experience offered by the school. At Sector 29-C, we seek to provide a setting in which academic progress and personal confidence develop together. The history of our school and its continuing local community give context to this work, connecting the early-years classroom with the responsibilities and subject choices of senior-secondary education.

The Sector 40 community gives our Chandigarh institution a local foundation for the combination of subject learning and wider participation. Communication and cooperation develop through the different activities children share during their school years.
