About Nalanda Vidhyalaya

We are Nalanda Vidhyalaya in Morbi, Gujarat, providing English-medium and Gujarati-medium education within one wider school community. Our English-medium programme follows CBSE requirements, while Gujarati-medium learning follows the Gujarat state-board framework. We connect academic study with practical activity, values and opportunities for children to develop different interests.

Our educational approach draws on ideas associated with Montessori learning, multiple intelligences and structured progression in understanding. We emphasise participation and learning through activity, using the connection between practical work, thought and personal engagement. Subject knowledge is developed with attention to how students can understand and use it in different situations.

The campus includes several academic buildings with classrooms, laboratories and a multimedia hall. Learning resources support explanation, investigation and interaction. The library and reading areas give pupils space to work with books and reference material, while laboratory facilities allow practical experiences to accompany classroom study. Internet access provides an additional resource within the academic environment.

Creative learning is supported through drawing and music rooms. Indoor and outdoor play areas provide opportunities for sport and physical activity, helping pupils develop coordination, cooperation and perseverance. These spaces broaden the school experience and allow students to participate through different abilities and forms of expression.

Residential provision is a significant part of campus life. Hostel students and day scholars share parts of the wider school environment, with Gujarati food forming part of the dining provision. Boundary walls, fire-safety arrangements, ventilation and landscaped areas contribute to the organisation of the campus. Through national and state-board pathways, practical learning resources, creative activities and residential life, we aim to support children’s academic and personal development. Our Morbi community brings these experiences together so that education includes both subject understanding and the habits needed for responsible participation.
