National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, dedicated to providing quality technical education and promoting advanced research. Located at Chumukedima near Dimapur, Nagaland, the institute was established in 2009 under the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and began functioning academically in 2010. It initially operated under the mentorship of the National Institute of Technology Silchar before moving to its permanent campus in Chumukedima in 2012.

NIT Nagaland offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across engineering, science, and related disciplines. Its academic offerings include areas such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry. The institute also conducts postgraduate programmes in specialized areas including Power Systems Engineering, VLSI Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, and Communication Engineering.
