About Us

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIM Joka, Kolkata, a civic sector school, co-educational, secular school is run by a vibrant organization Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education of India. It is located in IIM Campus, Kolkata, on the outskirts of Kolkata city in West Bengal. Since its inception in September 1982, it has been imparting no compromise on the quality of education.

1. It is making rapid progress in ensuring the holistic development of the personality of the children by providing opportunities in various scholastic and non-scholastic activities. Large and suitably equipped classrooms, well-equipped science and computer laboratories, a CCA hall, a thoughtfully designed library, a large playground and lush green lawns around the school building provide excellent infrastructure.

In order to set new standards in the education system, the school implements various creative methods such as parent-teacher interaction, innovative methods in teaching, appointment of contractual teaching staff and trainers for various activities, remedial classes, review of students' performance etc. with great care and enthusiasm.

Standard I to X having two sections each and Standard XI & XII having Science, Commerce and Humanities stream

There are 26 classrooms, 5 laboratories, 2 computer laboratories, playground and activity room.
