About Sanskriti School

We are Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, a private unaided CBSE school established through the Civil Services Society. Our foundation was laid in 1996 and the school opened in 1998. The institution was originally conceived to support the educational needs of children of transferable civil-services families, and its community subsequently widened. Our educational mission emphasises care, responsibility, thoughtful choices and an awareness of the needs of other people.

Our campus extends over approximately 7.67 acres and brings academic, sporting and creative spaces together. Classrooms are naturally lit and supported by projectors, laptops and wireless internet. Display areas allow classroom work and school occasions to become visible within the learning environment. Junior classes also have their own class libraries, giving younger children regular access to books as part of everyday school life. These arrangements connect the physical setting with the habits of reading, discussion and participation.

Sport and physical activity have a substantial place on campus. The gymnasium accommodates basketball and table tennis and also supports yoga and shared school events. Outdoor grounds provide space for football, cricket and athletics. Swimming facilities allow aquatic activities and inter-house competition to form part of the school programme. Music and dance rooms give creative work dedicated settings, while the infirmary supports pupils’ health needs during the day. Sanskriti is a day-school environment without hostel accommodation.

Social inclusion is part of our institutional history. The school has provided places for children from economically weaker sections since 2004, reflecting the belief that education should connect children across different circumstances. Our emphasis on empathy and humility sits alongside academic preparation. We want pupils to develop the confidence to make decisions while recognising their responsibilities towards others. The school’s history, CBSE curriculum and varied campus facilities therefore form a shared setting for intellectual, physical and social growth. Our identity is rooted in the idea that education can prepare children to become caring participants in their communities and in the wider world.
