Shikshantar School

Education

About Us

For over two decades, Shikshantar has introduced a paradigm shift in teaching – learning practices to emerge as an alternative to the traditional examination oriented system of education.

Facilitating on an educational philosophy that places children firmly at the centre of every initiative, Shikshantar strives to provide space for firing up and nurturing young students’ imagination, critical thinking abilities, development of a spirit of collaboration and of innovation.

Here every child confidently feels – Shikshantar is a place where I can be ‘me’.

Built on the principle that every child has an inherent ability to learn, at Shikshantar experiential education is integrated with the curriculum and syllabi to facilitate goals and processes.

Excellence is defined and reinvented for individual students. It is never standardized for everyone.

As a result, Shikshantar students grow up to be confident, balanced and sensitive individuals.

Our students who have graduated from school have created pathways for successful choices of colleges and careers in India and abroad. The school has been acknowledged and recognised for its best practices in cultivating a thoughtful learning environment.

Shikshantar is affiliated with CISCE and is a diverse learning community of over 1750 students and 250 faculty. The school is promoted by Gandharv Shiksharth Charitable Trust (GSECT). The team is guided by a Core Team of Minoti Bahri and Sanjay Prakash. Sunil Batra was actively involved till 2016. The three of them came together to take forward an integrated vision.
