About Shree Niketan Schools

We are Shree Niketan, an educational group with a Tamil Nadu school community that includes our Tiruvallur and Chennai-area campuses. Our educational outlook connects Indian cultural roots with an understanding of the wider world. Across our institutions, we place academic learning alongside integrity, self-belief, equality, inclusion and care for the environment. These values guide how we think about the experiences children should have during their school years.

Our foundational programme, from Pre-KG through Grade II, gives particular attention to the way young children learn. Play, exploration and practical activities help pupils develop language, early literacy and numeracy. Children encounter ideas through materials, conversation and experiences that are appropriate to their stage of development. This approach supports the transition from the first years of school towards more structured subject learning.

Our educational principles include gender equality and respect for people from different backgrounds. We want children to develop confidence in their own abilities while recognising the equal dignity of others. Learning in a school community therefore includes listening to different views, taking part responsibly and understanding that people bring varied experiences and strengths to shared activities.
