S.B.M. Public School, is a true flagship in the field of education. The School provides modern education with emphasis on ancient India Culture and values. Late Mahant Parsu Ram ji Maharaj founded Shri Bharat Mandir School society and started a middle School in 1941 in Rishikesh and later upgraded to Intermediate College. Society founded the S.B.M Public School in 1997 to cater the need of the local population for good English Medium education.
A number of other institutes like Shri Bharat Mandir Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya and Jyoti, a special school for mentally retarded, were also started by the same society.

The year 1997 was the landmark in the history of Shri Bharat Mandir School Society .When it started a Co-education English medium secular school which is affiliated by C.B.S.E, with two streams with Science and Commerce.
Presently 1203 students are studying from PlayGroup to XII.
