About Sri Sitaram Vaidik Mahavidyalaya
We are Sri Sitaram Vaidik Mahavidyalaya at 7/2 PWD Road, Kolkata 700035. Our institution is associated with Sanskrit and Vedic education, with school-level provision that includes the Prathama and Purva Madhyama stages. These stages connect traditional language study with the educational development of younger learners. Our PWD Road address is the centre of this school-level work.
Sanskrit forms an important part of our academic identity. The school programme also includes Social Science, Mathematics and Science, bringing language and traditional learning into relationship with other areas of study. Hindi and English are relevant to communication within this educational setting. We serve a learning community in Kolkata through an institution whose particular focus is the continuity of Sanskrit and Vedic education alongside broader school subjects.
Our school-level section has its own educational role within this tradition. We bring learners and educators together around language, subject knowledge and the disciplined work of study, maintaining a connection between established forms of learning and the wider knowledge needed by students.
