About Tapovan Vidyavihar

We are Tapovan Vidya Vihar in Ahmedabad, an educational initiative focused on girls’ education. Our institution is associated with Shrimati Kanchanben Bhikhalal Shah Parivar. We are developing the school in phases towards a full Kindergarten-to-Grade-XII pathway, with an emphasis on children’s academic and wider personal growth.

Our educational outlook begins with the understanding that each child has different strengths and possibilities. We aim to create an environment that supports curiosity and continued learning while giving attention to academic development. The phased growth of the institution allows our programme to develop over time as the school community expands.

Our curriculum planning is informed by the National Education Policy and the National Curriculum Framework. These provide a context for thinking about age-appropriate learning, progression and the different aspects of children’s development. We seek to connect educational planning with the practical experiences pupils have in classrooms and the wider school environment.

Continuing professional learning is part of our institutional approach. We recognise that a school’s educational programme depends on the knowledge and judgment of the adults who support children each day. Our emphasis on development therefore includes the ongoing strengthening of educational practice as the institution grows.

Girls’ education gives Tapovan Vidya Vihar a specific purpose within the Ahmedabad community. We aim to provide a setting in which learners can develop confidence, knowledge and a sense of their own potential. Our work brings together curriculum development, an evolving school environment and attention to the individual child, creating the foundations for a sustained educational journey across successive stages of schooling.

The focus on girls and the planned development across school stages define the direction of our institution. We see the early phase as the foundation for a continuing educational community, with curriculum planning and personal development contributing to the same long-term purpose in Ahmedabad. We bring this educational purpose into the everyday life of our local school community.
