The Central Law College

About us

We are The Central Law College in Salem, founded in 1984 at the foothills of Yercaud. We are affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University and recognised by the Bar Council of India. Our law programmes include the five-year BA LLB and three-year LLB. In 2021 we introduced LLM study in Constitutional Law and Human Rights, and Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration. Our Ruby Jubilee in 2024 marked forty years of legal education. Our teaching includes the wider social and economic understanding needed for legal study, reflected in our Sociology and Economics faculty appointments. We also recruit administrative and HR colleagues for our college and associated school.
