About VIBGYOR High Horamavu

We are VIBGYOR High, Horamavu, part of the VIBGYOR Group of Schools in Bengaluru. Our campus offers CBSE and CISCE educational pathways, bringing a choice of recognised curricula into the Horamavu school community. We combine classroom learning with sport, performing arts and activities that support children’s wider development. This approach reflects the VIBGYOR belief that academic understanding, personal confidence and practical participation develop together throughout the school years.

Our teaching approach draws on different ways of understanding how children learn. Multiple intelligences, progressive thinking skills and experiential learning inform a programme that makes space for observation, discussion, activity and reflection. Children encounter ideas through more than one method, helping them connect a new concept with their existing experience. As their understanding develops, they can move towards more demanding questions and more independent work. The relationship between knowledge and its application is central to this process.

Our campus includes science and computer laboratories and an age-appropriate library. These resources support practical enquiry, digital learning and reading beyond the immediate classroom task. Laboratory activities give pupils opportunities to work with materials, follow a procedure and interpret what they observe. Library use supports both subject learning and the development of reading interests. Together, these facilities provide different settings for building confidence with information and for developing the habits needed in later academic study.

Sports and Performing Arts are another important part of our school experience. They give children opportunities to practise, cooperate, perform and learn from feedback. The combination of academic and activity spaces allows pupils to engage with school in varied ways during the day. Our Horamavu identity is rooted in this local campus, while our connection with the wider VIBGYOR network provides a shared educational philosophy. We aim to bring intellectual growth, emotional awareness and practical experience into one coherent school environment, supporting learners as they develop their own strengths and participate in the community around them.
