About Yadavindra Public School Mohali

We are Yadavindra Public School, a coeducational day and boarding school in Sector 51, Mohali. Founded in 1979 in memory of Maharajadhiraj Yadavindra Singh, we provide a CISCE education with distinct foundation, preparatory and senior wings. Our preparatory wing serves Classes I–V, while the senior wing combines subject teaching with structured study, sport and hobbies. Each wing has its own library, and our senior library supports reading, reference work and independent enquiry. Science, computer and robotics laboratories give pupils opportunities to investigate and make things. Our day-boarding routine includes shared meals and time for supervised study. Football, cricket, swimming, squash, tennis and horse riding are among the activities within our wider sports programme. Visual and performing arts, community service, trekking and inter-house events extend learning beyond individual lessons. This combination creates a working environment in which academic staff, librarians, boarding colleagues and office teams contribute to different parts of a pupil’s day.

For History Teacher, our work centres on historical understanding and interpretation of evidence.

• Organise historical study around chronology, context and the relationship between events, ideas and social change.
• Use sources, maps and accounts to help pupils distinguish evidence from an interpretation or an unsupported assertion.
• Develop structured writing in which learners explain causes, consequences and different perspectives using relevant supporting detail.

For Maths Teacher, our work centres on mathematical reasoning and accurate problem solving.

• Build understanding of number, algebra, geometry and measurement at the level of the class, making the reasoning behind a method visible.
• Use worked examples and carefully sequenced questions to distinguish a conceptual misunderstanding from a calculation error.
• Connect symbolic work with diagrams, patterns and everyday quantities, then help learners explain how they reached an answer.
