Job Title: Postgraduate Teacher - Accounts Location: De Paul School, Bansdroni, Kolkata Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: De Paul School, Kolkata, seeks a qualified and dedicated Postgraduate Teacher to join our esteemed faculty for the Accounts department. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and a passion for teaching students in a supportive and engaging environment. This role requires an educator who can inspire and guide students through complex topics, fostering a love for the subject and preparing them for academic excellence and practical understanding in the field of accounts. Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Curriculum Delivery : Teach and facilitate learning for students in accounts, focusing on accounting principles, financial statements, costing, taxation, and other related topics. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and levels of understanding. Use effective teaching strategies, including case studies, project-based learning, and practical applications of accounting concepts. Student Assessment and Development : Design, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate students’ understanding and progress. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Identify individual learning needs and adapt instructional methods as necessary to support student success. Classroom Management and Environment : Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills within the classroom. Professional Development and Collaboration : Stay updated with advancements in accounting practices and educational methodologies. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development sessions. Work collaboratively with other faculty members to create an integrated approach to learning. Additional Responsibilities : Support and contribute to school events, parent-teacher interactions, and extracurricular activities as needed. Mentor students for academic competitions, projects, or exams related to the subject matter. Qualifications and Skills Required: Educational Qualifications : Postgraduate degree in Commerce (M.Com) or related discipline with specialization in Accounts. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification preferred. Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level, preferably in an ICSE/ISC-affiliated school. Skills and Competencies : Strong command over accountancy concepts and effective teaching techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire, engage, and connect with students from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with educational technology and digital teaching tools.
