Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, invites applications from highly motivated and academically strong candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. The selected Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, with a strong focus on advanced areas such as Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AR & VR, and Software & Web Development. Faculty members are expected to design engaging course content, deliver lectures effectively, conduct laboratory sessions, and continuously update curriculum content in line with evolving industry trends.
A key aspect of this role involves active participation in research and innovation initiatives related to AI & Data Science, IoT, Edge Computing, Networking, and Blockchain technologies. The Assistant Professor will be encouraged to publish research papers in reputed journals, present work at conferences, contribute to funded research projects, and collaborate on interdisciplinary research initiatives. Exposure to Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and emerging computing paradigms will be considered a strong advantage.
The role also requires involvement in academic mentoring, student project guidance, and collaboration with industry partners to enhance real-world learning. Faculty members will support institutional initiatives in Software & Web Development, AR & VR, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and advanced Networking systems through workshops, certifications, and industry-linked programs.
Candidates must demonstrate strong conceptual knowledge in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology, with the ability to integrate AI & Data Science, Blockchain, IoT, and Edge Computing concepts into teaching and research. Effective communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to academic excellence are essential.
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree with NET or a Ph.D. as per UGC norms. Prior teaching, research, or industry exposure in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Software & Web Development will be highly valued.
