Job Description:
The school is inviting applications for the role of Biology Teacher (specialization in Botany) to teach at the senior school level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering well-structured, engaging, and interactive lessons aligned with the CBSE/ICSE curriculum. The teacher will ensure conceptual clarity, scientific curiosity, and practical learning among students, helping them excel in academics as well as competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver comprehensive Botany lessons in line with curriculum guidelines.
Prepare lesson plans, lab work, and assessment material to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Conduct experiments and demonstrations in the biology laboratory to enhance practical understanding.
Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students preparing for board and entrance examinations.
Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
Maintain discipline, create a positive classroom atmosphere, and encourage scientific thinking.
Qualifications & Experience:
Postgraduate degree in Botany or Biology with a B.Ed. qualification (mandatory).
Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school preferred.
Strong subject knowledge in Botany with effective communication and classroom management skills.
Candidates from Kolkata/West Bengal will be preferred. However, candidates willing to relocate may also apply.
