Dean – Academics | CMR University, Bengaluru

CMR University is seeking an accomplished academic leader to take on the vital role of Dean – Academics. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Education and possess 15–20 years of extensive experience in curriculum development and academic leadership. This role is critical in shaping the university’s academic vision and aligning it with national and global education standards.

The Dean – Academics will spearhead the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 across all academic programs, ensuring curriculum standardization and fostering faculty development initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in crafting academic policies, managing the yearly academic calendar, and auditing academic programs to continuously suggest and implement improvements.

As a dynamic academic leader, you will guide teaching and learning strategies across departments, promoting an inclusive and globally competitive academic environment. Establishing and driving strategic collaborations and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with national and international institutions will also form a key part of your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and integration of the NEP 2020 curriculum
  • Formulating academic policies and managing the academic calendar
  • Conducting audits of academic programs and recommending enhancements
  • Facilitating effective teaching and learning practices throughout departments
  • Promoting global academic standards through collaborations and partnerships
