Job Opening: English Teacher (Middle Classes/TGT) – Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh

Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, located in Sector 22-D, Chandigarh, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of English Teacher. Position: English Teacher (Middle Classes/TGT)

Location: Sector 22-D, Chandigarh

Interview Date: Walk-in Interview on Monday, 30th June 2025

Interview Timing: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English language lessons to middle school students, aligned with the curriculum standards.
  • Develop creative teaching materials and lesson plans that stimulate interest and promote language proficiency.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualified and experienced English teacher, preferably with a background in convent schools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Education with relevant teaching credentials.
  • Prior teaching experience at the middle school or TGT level is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and student success.

Started by the Founder Principal Mrs. Suchinta Khorana in 1953 in a rented accommodation with just two students, the school today has its own spacious and imposing building in an area of about 3 acres in Sector 22-D, Chandigarh, with about 3000 students on its roll. Over the years the school has widened its expanse and now proudly runs a branch in Nayagaon as well.

Furnished with all the modern facilities, the school apprises its students with the latest know-how via well equipped labs, smart classes and multimedia devices with the support of highly qualified, sincere and dedicated teachers.

Late Mrs Suchinta Khorana

(1932 – 2017)

A woman entrepreneur and the motivational force behind the success of the school had a dream to develop global citizens enriched with knowledge, skill and moral values. She was an epitome of hard work and genius, who worked day and night for the progress of the school. It was she, who sowed the sapling which has bloomed into a tree. She was a very social and balanced figure who stood by her staff and students through thick and thin. She was the brain behind that the school can boast of completing sixty six years of success in the field of education and sports. Her dream of providing education to all strata of society shows her concern for society. She always maintained an aura of peace and nobility around her.


The guidelines laid by her will keep on enlightening our path in the years to come. Though, she breathed her last on 31st May, 2017 but she will remain alive in our hearts forever. May the Almighty rest her soul in peace
