Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the academic planning, curriculum development, and assessment strategy for the department.
- Mentor and guide subject teachers to enhance pedagogical effectiveness and classroom outcomes.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings, academic audits, and training sessions.
- Ensure alignment with CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE frameworks (as applicable).
- Review and upgrade lesson plans, teaching materials, and evaluation systems periodically.
- Foster a culture of research, inquiry, and critical thinking among students.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, resource planning, and laboratory/equipment (for Physics).
- Maintain discipline, academic quality, and high standards of performance.
- Facilitate student mentoring, parent communication, and inter-departmental coordination.
Eligibility Criteria:
For HOD – English:
- Master’s degree in English with B.Ed./M.Ed.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or coordinator role.
- Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE curriculum will be an added advantage.
For HOD – Physics:
- Master’s degree in Physics with B.Ed./M.Ed.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience in Physics, preferably for high school or senior secondary classes.
- Prior leadership/academic coordination experience is desirable.
- Experience with practical lab work, modern teaching aids, and integration of technology in the classroom.
