Job Overview:
The Lab Attendant will play a crucial role in supporting the science laboratories of the school. This position requires responsible and dedicated individuals who can ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the labs, assist teachers during practical sessions, and maintain equipment in proper working condition. Candidates from Kolkata or West Bengal will be preferred; however, the role is also open to candidates willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist subject teachers during laboratory sessions by preparing the required equipment, chemicals, and materials.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the laboratory at all times.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and lab materials in compliance with safety guidelines.
Handle laboratory equipment carefully and ensure timely maintenance or repair when required.
Maintain an updated inventory of lab apparatus, tools, and consumables.
Provide support to students in handling laboratory instruments under teacher supervision.
Follow strict safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for both staff and students.
Assist in setting up experiments and demonstrations as instructed by faculty members.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Minimum qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent, preferably with a science background.
Previous experience working in a school or college laboratory will be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
Candidates from Kolkata or nearby areas will be given preference.
Experience:
At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting is desirable.
Fresher candidates with a keen interest in laboratory operations may also be considered.
