Job Description:
Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, invites applications from skilled and motivated candidates for the role of Lab Instructor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department. The ideal candidate will support lab-based teaching, manage laboratory equipment, and assist faculty and students in conducting experiments and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members during practical lab sessions in ECE.
- Set up and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and safety.
- Guide students during lab experiments and provide technical support.
- Manage inventory of lab materials, components, and consumables.
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
- Assist in organizing workshops, training programs, and events.
- Document experiment procedures, maintain lab manuals, and update records.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic faults in electronic devices/equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience in an academic or technical lab environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with electronics lab instruments such as CROs, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters, microcontroller kits, etc.
- Good understanding of digital and analog electronics, embedded systems, and circuit design.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
Desirable Skills:
- Soldering and PCB fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of simulation tools (Multisim, LTSpice, MATLAB, Proteus).
- Microcontroller/Arduino/Raspberry Pi programming.
