Role Overview:

The Lawn Tennis Coach will be responsible for conducting structured tennis training sessions for students across various age groups, from beginners to competitive level players. The coach will be expected to build foundational skills, enhance gameplay techniques, promote fitness, and nurture sportsmanship among young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging tennis coaching sessions aligned with students’ age and skill levels.
  • Teach basic techniques, rules of the game, and match play strategies.
  • Assess student performance regularly and provide individual coaching and feedback.
  • Organize intra- and inter-school tennis tournaments and encourage competitive participation.
  • Ensure students maintain proper fitness levels, discipline, and safety during sessions.
  • Collaborate with the school sports department to align sports activities with the school’s broader athletic goals.
  • Maintain tennis equipment and ensure proper use and care of the school’s sports infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or any discipline with relevant sports certification.
  • Diploma/Certification in Lawn Tennis Coaching from a recognized sports authority or tennis federation (e.g., AITA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in coaching tennis at school, academy, or institutional level.
  • Proven track record in training young players, with the ability to tailor sessions for beginners and advanced players.
  • Strong communication, discipline, and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English and/or Hindi.
