Role Overview:
Shiv Nadar School, Chennai, is looking for a Librarian to manage the Middle Years Programme (MYP) library. The candidate will support students and teachers by providing access to a range of resources, fostering a love for reading, and assisting with research and information skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage library resources (physical and digital) for the MYP curriculum.
- Assist students and staff with research and information literacy.
- Organize reading programs and promote a reading culture.
- Maintain the library system and catalog.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs.
Requirements:
- Degree in Library Science or related field.
- Experience in a school environment preferred.
- Knowledge of IB MYP is a plus.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with library software and digital tools.
