The Nahar International School (NIS) was set up by the Nahar Foundation, a Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act. The School Board comprises of distinguished educationists and administrators. The School Board governs the school. In addition, the school has an Advisory Council comprising men and women of eminence from various fields of life.

The School is divided into four Sections, the Early Years Foundation Section, the Primary Section, the Secondary Section and the Senior Secondary Section.

Our curriculum is designed to provide the best possible all-round education to each of our students through a comprehensive programme. The aim is to produce inquiring, confident, open-minded children who are reflective in their thinking, balanced and well-disciplined in their behaviour; and grow up to be caring and responsible persons positively engaging with society and the world. Nahar International School follows the curriculum guided by Cambridge Assessment International Education from Pre-Primary to Grade 12 with the option of IBDP and Cambridge A-Levels at High School. These programmes have the greatest respect and the widest acceptance from leading universities throughout the world.

It is the policy of the Nahar International School that every student should be provided a fair chance to education. NIS believes in the principles of inclusive education and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, colour, gender, nationality, cultural and economic background or special needs and gifted children, and seeks to accept all qualified students who apply. It believes that every student should be treated with dignity and given due rights and responsibilities. We believe that students are de facto cultural ambassadors of the school and should uphold the ethos of the school through proper deportment on and off the campus. The Nahar International School deems it a duty to promote and develop social and global commitment.

Our Vision

The school is committed to developing socially responsible global citizens in a safe, creative and educationally challenging environment that encourages collaboration and the achievement of individual excellence through self-discovery.

Our Mission

  1. To raise a generation founded on life values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Citizenship
  2. To instill into our students the belief that their competition is only with themselves.
  3. To inculcate in our students a passion for learning and a curiosity about the world, making them learners for life
  4. To fortify our students with the ability to discipline their own study experience
  5. To extend the frontiers of learning for our students, beyond books and into the enrichment provided by art, music and sports
  6. To shape every student of our school into an asset for the community, applying their knowledge and thinking to the betterment of it, through community service
  7. To produce Global Citizens of the 21st century by exposing our students to world issues and perspectives

"The principle goal of education in the schools should

be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things,

not simply repeating what other generations have done."
