Avanti Fellows is a leading non-profit organization in India, founded in 2010 by alumni of IIT Bombay with a mission to make high-quality STEM education accessible to students from low-income backgrounds. The organization aims to bridge the education equity gap by offering affordable, technology-enabled learning programs that prepare students for competitive exams and successful academic futures.

The vision of Avanti Fellows is to create a level playing field where every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, has the opportunity to pursue careers in science, engineering, and medicine. Its mission is to empower students from underserved communities by providing them with the academic tools, mentorship, and support needed to succeed in top-tier colleges.

Avanti’s core programs are designed to support students at different stages of their academic journey:

1. Foundational Learning (Grades 9–10): This program helps students in government schools build strong conceptual understanding in Math and Science through digital lessons, live teaching sessions, and regular assessments.
2. Girls Leadership Program: Focused on young girls, this initiative promotes leadership, confidence, and career awareness through mentorship, workshops, and exposure to women role models in STEM fields.
3. Test Preparation (Grades 11–12): Avanti partners with schools such as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and various state governments to deliver intensive preparation for national entrance exams like JEE and NEET. These programs combine live instruction, peer-based learning, mock exams, and mentorship.

What sets Avanti apart is its cost-effective and scalable model. With a per-student cost significantly lower than traditional coaching institutes, Avanti has been able to deliver high-impact results. Many students mentored through Avanti have gone on to secure admissions in India’s top engineering and medical colleges.

With a presence across multiple states, Avanti Fellows has supported thousands of students and continues to grow its impact through strong public-private partnerships. Its innovative education model is transforming the lives of young learners, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.
