Job Summary: Valistus International School is seeking an experienced and passionate Mathematics Teacher Facilitator to deliver engaging and concept-driven instruction at the IGCSE and AS & A Levels. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the Cambridge curriculum, an inquiry-based teaching approach, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Levels Mathematics syllabus.
Conceptual Understanding: Foster a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics through an inquiry-based and student-centered approach.
Assessment & Feedback: Design and implement formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge guidelines and provide timely feedback to students.
Differentiated Instruction: Cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring all students are challenged and supported appropriately.
Technology Integration: Use digital tools and resources to enhance the teaching and learning process.
Academic Enrichment: Guide students in external competitions, research projects, and Olympiads to enhance their mathematical abilities.
Collaboration & Development: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences and participate in professional development programs.
Student Engagement: Encourage independent learning, inquiry, and a growth mindset in students.
Parental Communication: Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and learning strategies.
Qualifications & Experience: Educational Qualification: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field. A teaching qualification (B. Ed., PGCE, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in teaching IGCSE / AS & A Levels Mathematics, preferably in an international school setting.
Cambridge Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Mathematics syllabus and assessment criteria.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using digital learning tools, interactive software, and online assessment platforms.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and classroom management skills.
