Vasishtha Genesis School, Bardoli, invites applications for an experienced and energetic PGT–Physical Education teacher to lead sports and fitness initiatives for senior classes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student well‑being, able to design age‑appropriate PE curricula, and committed to cultivating a positive sports culture across the campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for Classes XI–XII aligned with senior‑secondary standards and fitness goals.
- Coach students for inter‑house and inter‑school tournaments; identify talent and run structured practice schedules.
- Design annual sports calendars, fitness assessments, house activities, and morning drills; oversee warm‑ups, cool‑downs, and injury‑prevention protocols.
- Manage school sports facilities and inventory (grounds, courts, lab equipment), ensuring safety, hygiene, and timely maintenance.
- Maintain student performance records, health and attendance logs, and submit periodic progress reports.
- Collaborate with academic teachers, activity in‑charges, and administration to integrate physical education with overall student development.
- Organise events such as Sports Day, fitness awareness drives, and community outreach activities.
- Guide student leaders, officiate matches, and ensure discipline and sportsmanship at all times.
- Coordinate first‑aid support during practices and events; escalate incidents per school policy.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) or equivalent; B.Ed preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of PE teaching/coaching at senior school level (exceptional candidates with strong playing/coaching credentials may also be considered).
- Sound knowledge of rules, techniques, and training methodologies across major team and individual sports; ability to design conditioning plans.
- Working knowledge of fitness assessments, child safety standards, and basic sports injury management.
- Certifications such as NIS coaching, Referee/Umpire badges, First Aid/CPR, Yoga or strength & conditioning will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills; comfort with basic digital tools for record‑keeping.
