Job Description:

Delhi Public School, Whitefield is seeking a highly qualified and passionate PGT Political Science teacher to join its senior secondary faculty. The role involves delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons to students in Grades XI and XII, fostering critical thinking and awareness of political systems, governance, and current affairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in political science, coupled with effective classroom management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Political Science to students of Classes XI and XII in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, class materials, and assessments to support learning objectives.
  • Guide students in understanding Indian and global political structures, the Constitution, public policies, and international relations.
  • Evaluate student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for board exams through strategic revision and practice tests.
  • Organize debates, model parliament, and co-curricular activities to promote political awareness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum development and department planning.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Political Science from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level in a CBSE-affiliated institution.
  • Prior board preparation experience is preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent subject command and communication skills.
  • Strong classroom engagement and interactive teaching methodology.
  • Ability to relate textbook knowledge to real-world scenarios and current affairs.
