Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Geography

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s Degree in Geography from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. is mandatory as per CBSE norms.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level in a reputed CBSE-affiliated institution.
  • Location Preference:
  • Only candidates residing in Jammu or willing to relocate to Jammu will be considered.
  • Skills Required:
  • Strong subject command over physical, human, and economic geography.
  • Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and latest teaching practices.
  • Proficiency in using smart classroom technology, GIS tools (preferably), and multimedia teaching aids.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
  • Ability to prepare students for Class XI & XII board exams with conceptual clarity and regular assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons to Classes XI & XII following CBSE curriculum.
  • Create lesson plans, prepare academic content, and design assignments, maps, and project-based learning modules.
  • Conduct tests, assess student progress, and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Encourage geographic awareness, field-based learning, and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with the school academic team and participate in curriculum planning and school events.
  • Maintain student records and report academic progress to parents and the school management.
