Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum framework.
- Foster a student-centered environment that encourages exploration, questioning, and collaboration.
- Integrate transdisciplinary themes across subjects to create meaningful learning experiences.
- Design assessments that support ongoing learning and development.
- Promote the attributes of the IB Learner Profile in daily classroom practices.
- Collaborate with fellow educators in unit planning, resource sharing, and reflection activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share student progress and learning goals.
- Participate in school events, workshops, professional development sessions, and community-building activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and portfolios of student work and learning evidence.
Candidate Profile:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or relevant discipline.
- A professional teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., D.El.Ed., Montessori training) is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IB PYP or similar inquiry-based curriculum preferred.
- Familiarity with IB pedagogical practices, international classroom standards, and global best teaching methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Comfortable using educational technology tools to enhance learning.
